watched a special on "nat geo" over the weekend on "the world", a collection of man-made islands off the coast of dubai. engineering problems on the water breakers alone have presented unprecedented design solutions. with design on the brain all weekend, it boggles my mind that "the world" is a few years away from completion. at the same time, i marvel in the fact that my morning coffee can take me to a different place as well.
